The United Kingdom is due to leave the European Union in early 2020. There are a number of scenarios in which this may, or may not, happen and under each scenario we have a plan to ensure that we continue to supply all customers on existing terms without any delays or uncertainty.
The United Kingdom does not leave the European Union in early 2020 as an extension to the Article 50 process is agreed
We would continue to supply all customers as currently for that period.
The United Kingdom leaves the European Union in early 2020 with a Withdrawal Agreement
We would continue to supply all customers as currently during the Transition Period.
The United Kingdom leaves the European Union in early 2020 without a Withdrawal Agreement (a so called “no-deal” exit)
United Kingdom Customers
We would continue to supply as currently.
Republic of Ireland Customers
Under this scenario we would change how we supplied customers in the Republic of Ireland. Rather than shipping product from our site in the United Kingdom we would ship from our site in Germany. This would mean that the product would stay within the European Union, and there would be impact of the United Kingdom leaving. All terms such as pricing, and all processes such as ordering, would stay the same with the only change being that our largest BioBag size, BB400, would not be available as our German site does not manufacture this. Within a month of the exit date we would attempt to re-establish frictionless supply from our site in the United Kingdom, and would keep all stakeholders aware of our progress here.
If there are any changes regarding the issue of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union then we will continue to provide updates here.
